Asphalt Roof Replacement

Torn off to the deck. Inspected before anything goes back on.

A full roof replacement starts with a tear-off. The existing roofing comes off down to the deck, and the deck gets inspected before any new material goes on — so you know before we start, not after.

The approach

If the deck is bad, you hear it before we order material.

The tear-off is loud and it takes a full day. The deck inspection can change the scope. If the deck needs repair, that’s a conversation before we order material, not a surprise invoice after the shingles are up.

The build · field method

What a roof job actually involves.

01

Tear off and inspect

The old roof comes off completely. The deck is exposed, checked and cleared. Anything soft or rotted gets cut out and replaced before new material goes down.

02

Penetrations and flashing

Plumbing penetrations get sealed with aluminum pipe boots. Where a chimney passes through, it gets new lead step flashing with counterflashing at the top. That chimney flashing takes the most abuse on the whole roof, and it gets the most attention on this job.

Skylights

If there are skylights on the roof, they’re VELUX. We size them, flash them and seal the interior curb.
