Kitchen Remodeling
A kitchen you only have to do once.
When the old cabinets come out the room is open — and that is the moment to get right the things that get buried for the next twenty years.

The approach
Most of a kitchen is decided before a cabinet goes in.
A kitchen remodel is a once-in-a-lifetime project for most homeowners, and we build it that way.
The build · field method
What we do while the room is open.

The floor and what is under it
With the cabinets out, we make the flooring continuous throughout the room and the subfloor solid. Squeaks and creaks get tracked down and taken care of while the floor is accessible, not left under new cabinets. We check the structure underneath will carry the new countertops and an island. Stone is heavy, and the framing under it has to be right first.

Cabinets set level and solid
We source the best cabinets we can fit to your budget. A kitchen has to work for a busy household, so the layout and the boxes are chosen to be functional first — then set level and solid.

Countertops that sit flat the first time
When the countertops come, the cabinet boxes are already flat and level, so the stone sits flat without shimming. That’s what a solid cabinet install buys you. The backsplash is tiled by Jeffrey and his help — you’re going to be looking at it for a long time.
